Jon Slaper was named the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Athlete of the Week as released on Monday, Nov. 4. The honor comes after leading the 25th-ranked Oilers to a 28-17 win over Walsh.
The Perry, Ohio native had the best game of his career and arguably the best by a Findlay defender in the G-MAC era. Slaper led the team with 11 tackles that inclued 5.5 tackles-for-loss, two sacks, and two pass break ups. His 5.5 tackles for loss are the most by any UF player since 2010 and the second-most by any player in G-MAC history.
