Oilers Chase NCAA Marks at Last Chance Meets

Hillsdale, Mich. / Akron, Ohio- The University of Findlay track and field teams are competing across the country this week in pursuit of qualifying marks for the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Findlay sent its men's hammer throwers to the Hillsdale Last Chance Meet on Wednesday, May 6, while the men's pole vault squad competed at the Akron Last Chance Invitational on Thursday, May 7.

Hillsdale Last Chance Meet

Leyton Nossa (Sr.)- Finished second in the hammer throw with a mark of 63.34m, meeting the NCAA Provisional Standard.
Collin Warner (Sr.)- Took third in the hammer throw with an NCAA Provisional Standard mark of 60.98m.

Akron Last Chance Invitational

Evan Combs (Fr.)- Came in fourth in the pole vault with an NCAA Provisional Standard mark of 5.00m.
Nathan Buschur (Jr.)- Finished fifth in the pole vault with a mark of 4.85m, an NCAA Provisional Standard.

Findlay returns to action this weekend for more last chance meets, traveling to Indiana's Billy Hayes Invitational on Friday, May 8, and Michigan's Len Paddock Open.
