Oilers Run at the GLIAC Championship

Results

The University of Findlay women's cross country teams was in action on October 26 in Houghton, Michigan for the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships.

The Oiler women finished in 11th of 15 teams with 284 points. Grand Valley State brought home the GLIAC championship finishing with just 30 points as a team and placing four runners in the top ten.

Senior Alexa Stults was the top runner for Findlay and came in with a time of 24:03 in the 6,000 meter race. Her time placed her in 45th in a field of 107.

Coming in just two spots behind Stults was Melanie Ruich. The freshman ran a 24:09.

Others competing for the Oilers were sophomore Erica Bettac (58th, 24:22), sophomore Samantha Grippe (61st, 24:25), senior Samantha Hassen (73rd, 24:50), Mackenzie Mahlmeister (85th, 26:11), and freshman Erin Reinhart-Anez (86th, 26:15).

Findlay is back in action at the Division 2 Regional in Kenosha, Wisconsin on November 9. That race will begin at 11:30am.
