Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's golf team played host to the first day of the Doc Spragg Fall Invite at Findlay Country Club on Monday, Oct. 16. Quote from Head Coach Dominic Guarnieri
"We got off to a slow start this fall but I knew we hadn't tapped into our full potential yet. I told the guys to stay patient and play our game, they did just that. They proved to themselves that they belong at the top of the leader board. I am excited to see what we can do tomorrow."
The Oilers also had a "B Team" participating in the event. That team ended the day in 16th place. They fired rounds of 313 (+25) and 306 (+18) for a 36-hole total of 619 (+43).
Findlay also had three individuals participating in the event.
The Oilers will be back in action tomorrow, Tuesday, Oct. 17. There will be a shotgun start at 9am. Follow along live on Golf Genius or watch on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
