Farmington, Penn. - The University of Findlay women's golf team, ranked fifth in the country, is playing host to the Nemacolin Intercollegiate which is being held on the grounds of Nemacolin Resort in Farmington, Pennsylvania. The 54-hole event, taking place on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 23-24, is being played at Mystic Rock Golf Course and is playing at 6,147 yards for the women. Due to morning frost, Monday's start was delayed and players did not get all 36 holes in before the sun set. Currently, the Oilers sit in third place in the nine-team event at +19. Findlay posted a score of 308 in the opening round.
The field includes nine teams, seven of which are nationally ranked or receiving votes. Those teams include: #1 Dallas Baptist, #5 Findlay, #6 Henderson St., #8 Indianapolis, #11 Lee, #24 UMSL, and RV North Georgia.

Gabby Woods led the way for the Oilers on Monday, both firing opening rounds of 74 (+2). The two are tied for seventh on the individual leaderboard and are both even par in their second round, Mulcahy through eight holes and Woods through six. E. Mulcahy was two-under on the par fives in round one, tied for the best par-five scoring in the tournament.
