Kenosha, Wis.- The University of Findlay wrestling team competed in the Jim Koch Wisconsin Open hosted by the University of Wisconsin- Parkside on Saturday, Nov. 23. The Roughnecks had eight wrestlers competing in the event that featured some of the best talent in Division II wrestling.
Junior Giulian Bodiu delivered Findlay's top performance, placing sixth in the heavyweight division with a 4-3 record. The Canton, Mich. native secured wins by fall against teammate Zain Bell, Indianapolis' Elijah Hinshaw, Wisconsin-Parkside's Cooper Caraway, and Wisconsin's Brooks Empey. His two losses came against Wisconsin-Parkside's seventh-ranked Lloyd Reynolds and St. Cloud State's Donnie Hidden in the fifth-place match.

Findlay's next event will take place Tuesday, Dec. 3 as they travel to Crestview Hills, Ky. to begin their Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) dual schedule.
