Tiffin, Ohio – The University of Findlay wrestling team was in Tiffin, Ohio for the 2025 NCAA Division II Super Region III Tournament which was hosted the Tiffin University.

The single-day event saw nearly ten hours of competition take place over three mats as 12 teams and nearly 100 wrestlers battled for the right to continue their seasons at the NCAA DII National Championship.

Findlay junior Giulian Bodiu was the top finisher for the Orange and Black, finishing just outside of national qualifying position, taking fourth in the 285-pound weight class. Freshman Wyatt Nemitz took fifth at 125 pounds while senior Ashton Anderson also finished fifth at 133 pounds.

Bodiu, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) champion at 285 pounds, had his first matchup in the quarterfinal round after receiving a bye to start the day. He faced off against Ashland's Wyatt Bailey whom Bodiu defeated 8-1 in last month's G-MAC Championship match. On Saturday, however, Bailey had the answers, earning a 9-4 win. Bodiu rallied with a pin of Davenport's Andrew Dupree and a major decision win over Parker Bentley of West Liberty. But, matched up against Bailey in the consolation final with a trip to nationals on the line, Bodiu was pinned in the first period, giving him a fourth-place finish.

Nemitz was defeated in his first matchup, but, after a bye, came back with a pin in the second consolation round and a 4-2 decision in round three. After suffering a defeat in the consolation semis, Nemitz won 5-3 over Grand Valley State's Orion Wilson to claim fifth at 125 pounds.

Similarly at 133 pounds, Anderson won his opening bout but was sent into the consolation bracket after a quarterfinal loss. A tech fall victory and pin in his next two matchups sent him into the consolation semis in which a win would send him to the third place match. He was defeated by Jak Keller of GVSU, but won by tech fall over Hunter Ross (Glenville State) to earn a fifth-place finish.
