Allendale, Mich. – The University of Findlay men's golf team opened up the 2025-26 season with a trip north to the Folds of Honor Challenge which is being hosted by Grand Valley State University at The Meadows Golf Club in Allendale, Michigan from Sep. 15-17. Through 18 holes of play, the Oilers are in a tie for seventh after posting a 305 (+21). They sit 22 shots back of the leader, no. 15 Grand Valley State.
Senior Luke Metzger was the top player in Findlay's lineup, firing an opening round 73 (+2) that included five birdies. He is in a tie for 13th, two shots ahead of junior teammate Tyler Brockwell who shot 75 (+4) and is in 27th.
The second round will start tomorrow, Tuesday, Sep. 16, with the first UF player teeing off at 8:00 am.
