Johnstown, Pa. - The University of Findlay wrestling team picked up three individual victories but came up short on the road Sunday, January 4, falling 32-12 at No. 5 Pitt-Johnstown. The loss moves the Roughnecks to 2-4 in duals on the season.

Findlay briefly held early momentum after back-to-back wins at 133 and 141 pounds. Nate Knowlton put the Oilers on the board with a fall at 6:36 over Tyson Cook, giving UF a 6-3 lead. Sawyer Smith followed with a tight 6-5 decision at 141, extending the advantage to 9-3.

Pitt-Johnstown, however, responded with wins in seven of the final eight bouts, including bonus-point victories at 149, 157, 165, 197 and heavyweight.

At 184 pounds, Chase Stein delivered Findlay's third win of the afternoon, earning a 9-2 decision over No. 15 Noah Gnibus to cut the deficit to 21-12. The Mountain Cats closed out the dual with two more wins to secure the final margin.
