Indianapolis, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its' selections for the 2026 Women's Tennis All-Conference teams on Thursday, April 23 during the conference championship tournament which is being held in Owensboro, Kentucky. Findlay had five players named all-conference and had three major awards as Maria Batinic was named Freshman of the Year, Audrey Ouellet was named the Elite 26 Award winner, and Jeff Westmeyer was named Coach of the Year.
Freshman of the Year & First Team | Maria Batinic
In her first year at Findlay, Batinic has had a big time impact for the Oilers who have been ranked in the Top-10 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) rankings much of the year. Batinic finished the regular season with a 20-5 record in singles play and a perfect 6-0 record in conference play. In the fall, Batinic was ranked as high as 32nd in the country in singles and this spring, she has won 11 consecutive singles matches dating back to February 17. She was also 20-3 in doubles play including a perfect 8-0 in G-MAC doubles competition. Batinic is the second consecutive Freshman of the Year from Findlay and third in program history.
Coach of the Year | Jeff Westmeyer
Picking up his second consecutive conference Coach of the Year honor, Jeff Westmeyer has continued to elevate the women's program. This season the Oilers went 17-1 in duals with a 9-0 record in G-MAC play, picking up the second straight outright regular-season title and top seed in the tournament. This year the team reached as high as No. 4 in the ITA poll, the highest ranking in program history.
Elite 26 | Audrey Ouellet
Maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA, Audrey Ouellet is the league's Elite 26 winner, holding the highest GPA among players who qualify for the championship. She is a Business Administration major.
First Team All-G-MAC
Along with Batinic, senior Anamarija Kovacevic is a first team for a third consecutive year and an all-conference selection for a fourth consecutive year. Kovacevic will go down as arguably the best player in program history and has had another special season for the Orange and Black. Ranked as high as No. 57 in the country during the year in singles, Kovacevic had a singles record of 16-6 this year and was 4-3 in G-MAC play. She, along with doubles partner Audrey Ouellet, has been ranked as high as No. 2 in the country. Kovacevic has a doubles record this year of 25-6 and is 7-2 in conference play.
Second Team All-G-MAC
Valentina Salek is a second team selection for a third consecutive year after going a perfect 5-0 in conference play in singles this year, playing at both No. 2 and No. 3 singles in league play. In doubles, playing mostly at No. 2 doubles, Salek went a perfect 9-0 in conference play.
Also earning second team is sophomore Polina Zaytseva, last year's G-MAC Freshman of the Year. Zaytseva was a perfect 6-0 in singles, playing both No. 3 and No. 4 singles. She has not lost a singles match since the beginning of March. In doubles, Zaytseva went 8-0 in conference play.
Along with her Elite 26 Award, Ouellet earned second team all-conference after a regular-season with a 20-7 overall record and 7-1 mark in G-MAC play. In doubles play, Ouellet was 28-7 overall and a perfect 9-0 in conference play.
