Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay swimming team opened their seasons on Saturday, September, 12, taking on Lake Superior State in a dual meet.  Both the women and the men would earn victories, with the women winning by a score of 209-53 and the men winning 202-59. 

Women's Highlights

• Elisa Solari was dominant for the Oilers, earning the win in the 200 Free (1:56.45), the 100 Breast (1:03.77), and the 200 Breast (2:23.66)
• Also having a big day was Olivia Scheibelhoffer, winning the 50 Free (23.93), the 100 Free (52.89), and the 100 Fly (57.42). She was also the anchor of Findlay's win in the 200 Medley Relay.
• Joining Scheibelhoffer with four wins was Sofia Lesmes Montes, who shared the 100 Free win (52.89), took home the 100 Back (56.95), and was part of the 200 Free Relay and 200 Medley Relay squads who both earned a first place finish.
• The women swept the podium in the 200 Free, 200 Medley Relay, 100 Breast, 100 Free, 200 Breast, 100 Fly, and the 200 IM.

Men's Highlights

• Wojciech Okon led the way for the Oilers on the men's side, racking up wins in the 50 Free (20.39) and the 100 Fly (47.49), also taking part in the winning teams participating in the 200 Free Relay and the 200 Medley Relay
• Arnaldo Guimaraes had a strong showing, dominating the breast events with a win in the 100 (56.13) and the 200 (2:04.75)
• Martino Guadagnoli performed well for Findlay in the distance events, taking home the No. 1 spot in both the 500 Free (4:38.54) and the 1000 Free (9:32.97)
• The men swept the podium in the 200 Free, 100 Breast, 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Fly, and the 200 IM

The Oilers will be back in action on Friday, October 9 for the GVSU invite, a two day event taking place in Holland, Michigan.
