Bluffton, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's and women's cross country teams competed on Friday, Sep. 4, running at the Bluffton Beaver Dam Invite. Both the Oilers' women and men picked up dominating team victories at the event.
Junior
Lauren Sattler picked up the individual win, the third win of her career, taking first in the race with a time of 18:22.41. Freshman
Kylah Meyer took third with a time of 18:43.03, while senior
Ella Webster finished fourth (19:16.00), freshman
Elyza Long took fifth (19:16.20), senior
Jenna Ramsey finished sixth (19:16.70), freshman
Clair Rodgers took seventh (19:19.87), and freshman
Natalie Gutman finished eighth (19:19.88) to round out top-ten finishers in the 5k race.
On the men's side, junior
Erik Nygaard led the way with a 19:00.60 in the 6k, good for second overall. Also in the top ten were junior
Asher Long in third (19:00.90), sophomore
Billy Dennison in fourth (19:01.00), sophomore
Benjamin Hall in fifth (19:01.10), sophomore
Ty Rosengarten in sixth (19:01.20), junior
Elijah Hadler in seventh (19:02.70), and freshman Tony Moorman in ninth (19:12.50).
