Prep - Was named all-Ohio in the 4x4 in 2012 and 2011...All-Ohio in long jump in 2012 and 2011...Was all-Ohio in the 4x2 in 2011...Was named all-MAC in the 4x4 in 2012 and 2011, in long jump in 2010, 2011 and 2012...And all-MAC honors in the 4x2 in 2010, 2011 and 2012...Won best sprinter award.

Personal - Born Derek Alan Collins...Son of Steve and Phyllis Collins...Has one sister.
