Steve Mulcahy has been involved with the Oilers golf program since 2022 and became the full-time assistant in August 2024.
Prior to his role at Findlay, Mulcahy served as the Head Golf Professional at Shawnee Country Club in Lima, Ohio. He held that position since 2001, making him the longest tenured golf professional in the history of the club which dates back to 1904.
Mulcahy was also recognized as the Northern Ohio PGA Teacher of the Year in 2010 and 2025 and has made Golf Digest's list of the "Best Teachers in the State of Ohio" every year since 2009, ranking #1 on that list eight times; 2009-12 and 2015-18.
From 1998 to 2008, Mulcahy, a member of the Allen County Golf and Lima Central Catholic High School Hall of Fame's, formerly served on the Leadership Advisory Staff with Titleist where he served as a resource for the Titleist Performances Institute (TPI).
Recently, Mulcahy has served on the Board of Directors for the Lima Junior Golf Association and has been involved with many local juniors, helping lead local high school teams Lima Central Catholic High School and Bath High School to a combined eight OHSAA state championships.
As a player, Mulcahy has racked up 30 professional tournament wins as a member of the Northern Ohio PGA. In the Toledo Chapter of the PGA, Mulcahy has ten more wins and in 2007 was named the Toledo Area PGA Player of the Year.
Mulcahy currently resides in Lima, Ohio with his wife Lyn. They are parents to four daughters; Meghan, Mary Kelly, Erin, and Bridget.
