As the leader of the athletic department, Laurita oversees all of Findlay’s athletic programs, made up of 22 varsity sports. The sports include baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s cross country, football, men’s and women’s golf, men’s and women’s soccer, softball, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, men’s and women’s tennis, men’s and women’s indoor and outdoor track and field, volleyball, women's lacrosse and wrestling.

She advised the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and managed the allocation, oversight, and distribution of athletic scholarships. Laurita also held strategic positions on several NCAA and Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) committees, including the GLIAC Executive Committee and GLIAC Management Council.
In prepping for her role as an athletic director, Laurita participated in the NCAA/ADA Division II Director of Athletics Mentoring Program, working closely with Greg Bamberger of Kutztown University. The program is designed to prepare assistant and associate athletic directors for the next step in their careers by giving them insight on all aspects of daily responsibilities associated with running a successful athletic department.
A member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), Laurita has also been a part of several community-related committees during her time in Findlay. She served as the chair of Findlay/Hancock County Convention and Visitors Bureau Board of Directors in 2013 and was also a member of the Findlay/Hancock County Alliance Board of Directors.
Before coming to Findlay, Laurita worked as the head cross country coach and director of compliance at Converse College. While at Converse, Laurita also served three years as an athletic-academic resource coordinator and two more as an assistant volleyball coach.
Laurita graduated from St. Andrews Presbyterian College with a degree in physical education and was a dual sport athlete in volleyball and softball. She later earned her master’s degree in education from Converse.
