Oilers Bite Bulldogs 90-62

The University of Findlay men's basketball team was rolling on all cylinders in their 90-62 win over Ferris State University on Thursday, December 10 in Croy Gymnasium. The victory gives the Oilers a 4-3 record on the season with a 1-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).

The Oilers easily had their best shooting performance of the young season as they connected on 27-of-50 (54%) of their shots from the floor. In the second half, when the Oilers out-scored Ferris State 52-35, Findlay shot 66.7 percent (14-of-21) from the field and drilled 5-of-6 (83.3%) of their three point tries.

Junior guard Nathan Hyde led five Oilers players in double figures with 19 points while sophomore forward Rob Marsden, freshman guard Aaron Robinson and senior guard Marcus Parker scored 13 points apiece.

Freshman forward Jack Smith chipped in ten points while junior forward Tyler Sparks returned from injury to add nine points, four rebounds and three assists.

The Bulldogs were led by Justin Keenan's 18 points.

Findlay will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Grand Valley State University at 7:30 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
