The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Michigan Tech 3-0 (25-23, 25-18, 25-20) on Sunday, September 30, in Houghton, Michigan. The Oilers have won the past four matches, improving their GLIAC mark to 5-2 and 8-6 overall.
Mackenzie Vorst and Danielle Taflinger had 11 and ten kills, respectively, to lead the Oilers while Amanda Calhoun produced 34 assists.
Andrea Holthaus and Julie Lyons generated two blocks each while Brittany Hall tallied 12 digs in the match.
Lyons also added eight kills while Maggie Naayers contributed five.
The Oilers will travel to Midland, Mich. to face the Timberwolves of Northwood University on Friday, October 5. The match is slated for 7 p.m.
