The University of Findlay volleyball team defeated Malone University by a score of 3-1 (25-20, 20-25, 25-19, 25-17) on Nov. 7 in Canton, Ohio to move to 20-7 on the year with a 13-3 record in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play.

Junior Hannah Tong hammered out 19 kills and hit .412 in the match while sophomore Nickyla Garverick produced 14 kills, hitting .609 in the match.

Freshman Amanda Winner also reached double digits in the kill department, accumulating 11 in the win. She also had six aces, the ninth-best single match total in school history.

Freshman Hailee Olson had 47 assists and eight digs as well while senior Becca Shoemaker recorded 26 digs, the sixth-best single match total in school history.

The Oilers will host 7th-ranked Wheeling Jesuit on Nov. 11 in their next match. The contest is scheduled to start at 7 pm in Croy Gymnasium.
