Oilers Conclude Indoor Season | Three Tabbed All-American

Results

Pittsburg, Kan.-  The University of Findlay men and women's indoor track and field teams concluded the 2022 NCAA Division II National Championship on Mar. 12 at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas.  

The Oilers were led by senior Gabe Makin in the men's pole vault. Makin cleared 5.05m (16'6.75") in his second attempt at his third height which was good for tenth place in the event. Makin's performance earns him second-team all-American honors.  

Junior Paige Emnett finished twelfth in the shot put. Her best mark of 14.18m (46'6.25") came on her third attempt. Emnett's performance tabs her second-team all-American honors.  

Rounding out the competition was Simone Green in the triple jump. Her best jump of 11.42m (37'5.75") came on her third jump. She finished eighteenth in the event.  

This concludes the Oilers indoor track and field season. The Oilers picked up a total of three all-American honors at the event- Emnett, Kluesener, and Makin.
