Findlay Ties KWC on the Road | McCracken Scores Twice

Owensboro, Ky. – The University of Findlay men's soccer team went on the road to compete against the Kentucky Wesleyan this Saturday, Oct. 14. The back and forth battle between the Oilers and the Panthers ended in a 2-2 draw. With the tie, Findlay now moves to 4-5-4 on the season and 2-5-3 in Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) play while Kentucky Wesleyan's record moves to 6-3-5 and 3-3-4 in the G-MAC.
 
In the 28th minute of play, senior Nick McCracken scored the first goal of the game off a penalty goal. In the second half, McCracken tied the game with an unassisted goal.
 
Maciej Gaszynski, Tyler Pawlicki, Andrew Borcila, Ryan Dickinson, Mitchell Hanosh each attempted two shots. Nick McCracken and Zach Lauron took five shots each and David Hug took four shots. Senior goalkeeper Andrew Boulton made one save during play.
 
The Oilers outshot the Panthers 24-8but KWC held an 8-1 advantage in saves. Cooper Solomon, Mitchell Hanosh and David Hug were each given a yellow card during play. Kentucky Wesleyan received 14 fouls to Findlay's 11.

The Oilers will be back in action Saturday, Oct. 21 when they host Cedarville at the DeHaven Soccer Complex at 2pm.
