Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay women's soccer team hosted the Northwood University Timberwolves on Thursday Oct 26 at Elmer Graham Memorial Stadium. After a hard fought battle, the Oilers fell 1-0. With the loss the Oilers are now 9-4-2 overall and 9-2-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) and the Timberwolves move to 12-3-2 overall and 11-1-1 in the G-MAC.
The Timberwolves would score their only goal of the match in the 60th minute of play. The Oilers would record 14 shots on the night with four of them being on goal. While the Timberwolves recorded six shots, three of them being on goal.
The Oilers offense was led by senior Madison Mlsna, senior Ellie Tischler, sophomore Sydney Noble, and sophomore Raegan Smith all recording one shot on goal. Senior goalkeeper Kennedy Slovak would record two saves on the night to help slow down the Timberwolves offense.
The Oilers will travel to Ashland, Ohio for their second matchup against the Ashland University Eagles on Saturday Oct 28th kickoff will be at 4pm.
