Cary, N.C. – The University of Findlay baseball team opened their 2023 season with a pair of victories against Seton Hill University. The Oilers claimed a 7-1 win in the first game before walking it off in the second for a 4-3 victory.

Senior Anthony Kyle picked up the win in game one throwing 6.1 innings. He struck out nine batters and allowed only one run.

Offensively, junior Andrew Micale blasted a two-run homer to lead the way.

In the second game, senior Cam Farrar singled home fellow senior Aiden Lao for the game-winning run in the bottom of the ninth.

Senior Bailey McCord secured the victory in relief by allowing one run in 4.0 innings of work. He struck out seven.

The Oilers will be back in action again tomorrow at 11am when they play their third game against Seton Hill.
