Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Oilers Fall to Cardinals 2-1

 Findlay, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's soccer team faced off against Saginaw Valley Cardinals this Saturday, Sept 10th at DeHaven Soccer Field. The Oilers fell short by a score of 2-1. With this loss Findlay's record is now 0-2-2 while Saginaw Valley moves to 3-1-0.
 
Findlay recorded five shots on goal during the first 45 minutes of play while Saginaw Valley recorded eight and in the 42nd minute of play, the Cardinals scored a goal to end the half up by one.
 
The second half was an even match between the teams, both scoring a single goal. Although, the lone goal by senior Madison Mlsna off assist from sophomore Sydney Noble was not enough to come back against SVSU.
 
Findlay recorded a total of 14 shots throughout the game while Saginaw Valley recorded just 13. Senior goalkeeper, Kennedy Slovak made a total of 3 saves during play. Seniors Ellie Tischler and Madison Mlsna each recorded three shots. Senior Anna Meixner, senior Hannah Rybicki and junior Ellie Janszen each had two shots.
 
The Oilers will be back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 13 at 7pm when they play Cedarville on the road.
