Crestview Hills, Ky.- The University of Findlay women's soccer team traveled to Kentucky to face off against the Thomas More University Saints on Sep. 23. The Oilers dominated the 90 minutes of play and finished with a 3-0 win over the Saints. With the win the Oilers are now 2-3-2 overall and move to 2-1 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) while the Saints fall 0-5-2 overall and 0-3-1 in the conference.
The Oilers took an early lead against the Saints. In the first 15 minutes sophomore Sydney Noble would score the lone goal of the first half off an assist from senior Hannah Rybicki. Rybicki took control of the second half scoring two goals for the Oilers. Just three minutes into the second half Rybicki scored giving the Oilers a 2-0 lead. Rybicki would find the back of the net again with just five minutes left of play off an assist from freshman Allie Arnold putting the final score at 3-0.
The Oilers outshot the Saints 9-7 while sophomore Cat Graves recorded three saves on the day to help shut down the Saints.
The Oilers will travel to Columbus, Ohio to face off against the Ohio Dominican University Panthers on Wednesday Sep. 27 at 5pm.
