Indianapolis, Ind. – On Monday, Nov. 11, the NCAA released the third round of regional rankings for each of the four super regions in the sport of football. The University of Findlay, which improved to 9-1 on the year with a win last Saturday over Northwood, has moved up two spots into fifth in Super Region One. Teams from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), Northeast-10 Conference (NE-10), Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), and Mountain East Conference (MEC) are all taken into consideration for 10 ranked positions.
At 10-0, Charleston (W.V.) holds the top spot in the ranking, a distinction that comes with a first round bye for whoever holds that spot next week. Ashland, which was defeated by Walsh this weekend, is the only other Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) school in the top-ten, slipping to eighth.
This is the third of four regional rankings that will be released. Next week's ranking, revealed on Sunday, Nov. 17, will decide which teams continue their season in the NCAA playoffs. Seven teams will earn a trip to the postseason with the top four earning the right to host at least one game.
