Top-10 Individual Performances | #7 Michael Jerrell

The Oilers had another incredible year as multiple student-athletes saw success at both the conference and national level. In order to further honor those accomplishments, Findlay's media relations staff has put together a top-10 list of individual performances from the year and will release them throughout the summer months.

Senior Michael Jerrell put together not only an outstanding season but an outstanding career with the Oilers, earning a host of awards including all-American honors in 2022 and 2023, 2023 G-MAC Offensive Lineman of the Year, 2023 first team all-region, and four all-conference awards including three first-team picks. During the 2023 campaign, the Indianapolis, Ind. native was named all-American by both the Don Hansen Football Gazette and D2Football.com.

He had his name called by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2024 National Football League (NFL) Draft on Saturday, April 27. He was selected in the 6th round and was pick number 207 of the event. He is just the fourth player to have played at UF and be taken in the NFL draft, joining Andrew Ogletree (2022), Dana Wright (1987), and Allen Smith (1966). Jerrell was the only NCAA Division II player taken in the 2024 NFL Draft.
