Luke Senften was named the Great Midwest Athletic Confernece (G-MAC) Baseball North Division Player of the Week as released on Monday, Feb. 17. The award comes following his performance on opening day against the Grand Valley State Lakers.
Senften led the offense on Friday, going 4-for-4 in the opener, a game that resulted in a 16-2 victory for the Oilers. In that game, the Canton, Ohio native recorded a double, three RBI, and four runs scored. He also walked twice on the day, reaching base six times in nine plate appearances.
This is Senften's first career Athlete of the Week honor.
