Gabby Woods Wins Ohio Women's Open

Springboro, Ohio - University of Findlay alumni Gabby Woods picked up a convincing win at the Ohio Women's Open on Saturday, June 7. She fired rounds of 67 (-4) and 69 (-2) to claim the title as the only player in the field to finish the 36-hole event under par.

A two-time winner of the Women's Ohio State Amateur, Woods dominated the event which was held at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio. Woods began the event on Friday, keeping a clean card until her first bogey of the tournament on the 13th hole. She would finish the two-round event with nine birdies and just three bogeys, the fewest in the field.

Woods, who capped a historic career at UF with an individual win at the NCAA DII National Championship, is currently pursuing a career in professional golf and plays on the Annika Women's All Pro Tour.

Also competing in the event from Findlay were current players Ellie Yeazell, who finished T6 after rounds of 76-72 (148), and Mia Ringger, who finished T19 with scores of 77-78 (155).
