Findlay, Ohio-  The University of Findlay athletic department has announced their annual Male and Female Athlete of the Year winners for the 2024-25 season. James D. Houdeshell Male Athlete of the Year – Yoesph Carter
Senior offensive lineman Yoesph Carter had high expectations for the 2024 season as he was named a preseason all-American by D2Football.com, earning a spot on their annual Elite 100 Watch List. Carter delivered with a special year in the trenches as he went on to earn Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Co-Offensive Lineman of the Year and first team all-conference honors.

After the season, the awards continued to come for Carter as he was voted first team all-region by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) and later earned second team all-American honors from the American Football Coaches' Association (AFCA) and the Don Hansen Football Committee. D2Football.com would recognize Carter with a first team all-American spot, just the third player in program history to be named first team by the organization.

Carter's efforts during the 2024 campaign also helped lead the Oilers to a 9-2 record, reaching a national ranking as high as 20th in the country. He was also a nominee for the Gene Upshaw Lineman of the Year Award, the most prestigious award given to a lineman in NCAA Division II.

Sharon G. Milligan Female Athlete of the Year - Mary Kelly Mulcahy
Senior Mary Kelly Mulcahy ended her final season at Findlay with consistency, excellence, and record-breaking performances. She was named the 2025 G-MAC Player of the Year and earned first team All-American honors from the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) for a third time. Her season also included all-East region recognition, a spot on the G-MAC all-conference team, and the G-MAC's prestigious Elite 26 Award, which honors the student-athlete with the highest GPA competing at each conference championship. At the 2025 G-MAC Championship, she claimed medalist honors with one of the more convincing victories of her career, setting the program and tournament 54-hole scoring record with a 205. That score was eight shots clear of the tournament runner-up, the widest margin of victory in tournament history.

Mulcahy, also this year's G-MAC Collegiate Achievement Award winner, tied her own program and conference scoring average record of 71.71. She captured three tournament titles, including the Folds of Honor Challenge, the Intercollegiate at Nemacolin, and the G-MAC Championship. At the LeeAnn Noble Memorial, she fired a second-round 64, setting a new 18-hole scoring record for both the University of Findlay and the G-MAC. She also set the program's 36-hole scoring record with a 136 at both the LeeAnn Noble Memorial and the G-MAC Championship.

In addition to her collegiate success, Mulcahy represented the Oilers on a national stage, competing in the 2024 Patriot All-America Tournament in Phoenix, Arizona, where she finished tied for 29th among the top collegiate golfers in the country. She was also selected, for a second consecutive year, as the only non-division I female on Team USA's Palmer Cup squad that competed against the International Team at the Congaree Golf Club in South Carolina. At the event, Mulcahy went 2-2 against the best amateurs in the game, giving her a two-year Palmer Cup match play record of 6-2.

Mulcahy concluded her remarkable career at the University of Findlay with 13 tournament victories, the most tournament wins in the NCAA era of the program.
