Cedarville, Ohio – The University of Findlay women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road on Thursday, September 18th against the Cedarville Yellow Jackets.
The Oilers battled hard against a G-MAC foe. Findlay generated four shots, three of which were on goal, forcing Cedarville's keeper into three saves. Two of the Oilers' shots came from senior Sydney Noble, both of which were on goal.
Despite the offensive push, the Oilers couldn't find the breakthrough they needed. Cedarville struck once in the opening half and added a second goal after the break to secure the win.
Findlay's defense worked to contain a Cedarville attack that produced 15 total shots, five of them on target. Senior goalkeeper Cat Graves finished with three saves to keep the Oilers within reach, while the back line held the Yellow Jackets to just two corners and forced them into four offsides.
Set pieces gave Findlay opportunities to pull even, with two corner kicks earned on the night, but the Oilers couldn't convert.
The Oilers now turn the page as they look to regroup and prepare for their next home conference matchup aganist Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday, September 20th, at 1 pm at DeHaven Field.
