Brookfield, Ill. - The Don Hansen Football Committee has released the 2025 Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America team and University of Findlay standout linebacker
Sam Weihrauch has been named honorable mention.
One of the most production linebackers in program history, Weihrauch, also the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Defensive Player of the Year, was a first team all-region performer for the first time in his career and has already garnered all-American status, earning second team from the D2CCA and honorable mention from D2Football.com. This year Weihrauch led a defense that was one of the best in the country all season long. Starting all 12 games, he racked up 80 total tackles (45 solo) and set the tone behind the line of scrimmage with 17.5 tackles-for-loss, the most by any Findlay player since 2007 and the highest single-season mark by a linebacker in the program's NCAA era. He also added 4.5 sacks, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble, while contributing eight quarterback hurries.
Weihrauch is the 13th player in program history to earn Don Hansen All-American honors and is the first linebacker to do so.
