North Canton, Ohio – The University of Findlay men's soccer team traveled to North Canton on Thursday, October 1st, 2026, for a matchup against the Walsh Cavaliers. The Oilers earned a 3-0 win on the road, led by a first half brace from senior Carson Oberski. This is the Oilers third consecutive win, moving their record to 7-1-1 (4-1-1). The Cavaliers fall to 1-8-1 (0-6-1).
Findlay took an early lead with a goal in the 10th minute from a curled shot off the right foot of Carson Oberski that would find the upper right corner, making the score 1-0. Oberski would find the back of the net again in the 22nd off his left foot after finding the top left corner, giving the Oilers a 2-0 lead. The goal was assisted by senior Leo Egerer.
The Oilers would add a third goal to their tally in the 37th minute after sophomore Eric Millan scored his first goal of the season with a right-footed shot into the bottom left corner of the goal. The goal was once again assisted by Egerer, his second of the night and fifth on the year.
Findlay would defend their lead in the second half, conceding zero goals and ending the game with a final score of 3-0. The Oilers and Cavaliers were level on shots for the evening, 18-18. Findlay led the Cavaliers in corner kicks, 4-2.
After tonight's win, the Oilers now sit in third place in the G-MAC standings heading into the weekend. Findlay returns to play this Saturday, October 3 when they face the Ashland Eagles in another key matchup.
