Oilers Dominate Kentucky Wesleyan 4-0 on Senior Day

Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay women's soccer team celebrated Senior Day in dominant fashion Saturday, October 17, earning a 4-0 victory over Kentucky Wesleyan College to extend its unbeaten streak to eight games. The win improved the Oilers' overall record to 10-2-3 and their Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) record to 7-1-3.

Senior Kylie Recker wasted little time getting Findlay on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net just one minute into the match for her second goal of the season. The Oilers controlled the attack throughout the first half, recording 16 shots and forcing four saves from the KWC goalkeeper. Despite their offensive pressure, Findlay carried a 1-0 lead into halftime.

The Oilers continued their momentum in the second half, as junior Avary Zeisloft doubled the lead early in the period off an assist from fifth-year Raegan Smith. Findlay added two more goals in the final 10 minutes to put the game out of reach. Sophomore Liliana Garza scored the third goal with an assist from freshman Adyson Brown, before senior Morgan Sparks capped the scoring to secure the 4-0 victory.

Findlay dominated the statistical categories, recording 15 shots on target compared to just two for Kentucky Wesleyan. The Oilers also generated significant pressure in the attacking third, forcing 11 saves from the KWC goalkeeper.

In goal, fifth-year Cat Graves played all 90 minutes and made two saves to earn the shutout.

The Oilers will return to action Thursday, October 22, when they travel to North Canton, Ohio, to face Walsh University. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m
