Findlay, Ohio - The University of Findlay men's tennis team got a close 4-3 victory Saturday, March 14. The team matched up against Maryville University at home and improved to 4-5 on the season. 

Findlay got the first point of the match after winning the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles matches. Junior Andrieu Clement and sophomore Grant Hawkins won the No. 1 matchup with a score of 6-1. In the No. 2 match, sophomore Matthis Veniard and graduate student Soh Kuyama won their match 6-4.

The singles matches were tough battles and the two teams split the matches by each winning three out of the six. Findlay got two wins from Clement Andrieu and Soh Kuyama who both won their matches in two sets. The last singles win came from junior Nicolo Lippolis in the No. 6 match in two sets. 

The Oilers will hope to build on this win as they match up against Davenport at home on Sunday, March 15.
