#10 Women’s Tennis Extends Win Streak to 12 with Victory at Thomas More

Crestview Hills, Ky. — The No. 10 ranked University of Findlay women's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on the road, sweeping Thomas More University 7-0 in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) matchup on Friday, April 3 at the Five Seasons Family Sports Club.

The Oilers set the tone immediately in doubles play, thoroughly controlling all three flights to secure the opening point. At the No. 3 spot, Polina Zaytseva and Maria Batinic cruised to a flawless 6-0 victory over Lindsey Greb and Sadie Jones.

Ivanova Lucero and Maria Valentina Salek Rivero quickly followed suit, clinching the doubles point with a 6-1 win at the No. 2 flight over Ella Cason and Hallie Lathram. At the top flight, the nation's No. 5-ranked duo of Anamarija Kovacevic and Audrey Ouellet completed the sweep by taking down Alexis Covington and Bella Flores 6-3.

Carrying a 1-0 advantage into singles, Findlay did not drop a single set across all six flights to complete the 7-0 shutout.

Nationally 72nd-ranked Maria Batinic led the charge at No. 1 singles, making quick work of Alexis Covington with a commanding 6-1, 6-0 victory. At the No. 2 spot, Anamarija Kovacevic defeated Ella Cason 6-2, 6-3, while Maria Valentina
Salek Rivero earned a 6-4, 6-3 win over Bella Flores at the No. 3 flight.

The bottom half of the lineup was equally oppressive. Polina Zaytseva dropped only two games en route to a 6-1, 6-1 win over Hallie Lathram at No. 4 singles. Audrey Ouellet defeated Sadie Jones 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 5 spot, and Ivanova Lucero rounded out the sweep with a 6-0, 6-1 thrashing of Nicki Bauer at No. 6 singles.

Findlay will be back in action Saturday, April 4 as they take on Kentucky Wesleyan.
