Mason, Ohio - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) announced its 2026 baseball all-conference teams on Wednesday, May 6, in conjunction with the start of the G-MAC Baseball Championship Tournament. The University of Findlay, the tournament's three seed, secured five all-conference selections, four of which were first team honors.
Findlay's first-team recipients are junior Luke Senften, senior Carson Mellott, senior Colin Becker, and senior Casey Maruniak. Earning a spot on second team is junior Aidan Kiessling.
Senften, a native of Canton, Ohio, started all 51 games this season and finished with a .351 batting average. He ranked third in the G-MAC with 47 runs batted in and 34 walks. He also ranked sixth in the league with 60 hits and seventh with 15 doubles. In 169 at-bats, Senften recorded 34 walks and only 23 strikeouts. He hit five home runs, stole seven bases, and scored 39 runs for the year. His season highlights included a four-hit, five-RBI game against Gannon and a three-hit, three-RBI game with a home run against Division I Bowling Green.
Mellott led the G-MAC with seven wins and finished the season with a 7-3 record. He ranked third in the conference with a 3.60 earned run average and third with 70.0 innings pitched. He also ranked 10th in the league in opponent batting average. In 13 appearances, Mellott recorded 59 strikeouts and 29 walks. He allowed 28 earned runs on 67 hits. His season highlights included a nine-inning complete game win against Northwood where he gave up just one earned run. He also pitched seven shutout innings and allowed only one hit in a win against Tiffin.
Colin Becker also earned first team all-conference honors after putting together a dominant season out of the bullpen. He anchored the pitching staff in the late innings and led the G-MAC with nine saves on the year. Becker made 19 appearances and finished the season with a 4-2 record to go along with a 2.50 earned run average. In 39.2 innings pitched, he recorded 49 strikeouts and issued just 17 walks while allowing only 11 earned runs on 33 hits. Throughout the season, Becker delivered clutch performances, including ten scoreless outings. His season highlights featured a dominant five-inning relief appearance against McKendree where he struck out seven batters to earn a victory, as well as a perfect two-inning save against Lake Erie where he struck out three batters without allowing a baserunner.
Maruniak started all 51 games this season and finished with a .309 batting average. He led the league with 32 stolen bases, which is second place all-time in G-MAC history with 103 career steals. He also ranked second in the conference with 58 runs batted in, third with 17 doubles, fourth with 51 runs scored, and eighth with 59 hits. In 191 at-bats, Maruniak hit eight home runs and two triples while drawing 23 walks. His season highlights included a four-hit, six-RBI game with two doubles and a home run against Cedarville, and a three-hit, three-RBI game with a double and a triple against Malone.
Earning second team, Kiessling finished the season with a 6-4 record and a 4.73 earned run average. In 53.1 innings pitched across 12 appearances, he recorded 52 strikeouts and issued 29 walks. He held opponents in check throughout the year, allowing just 42 hits and 28 earned runs. His season highlights featured a dominant seven-inning performance against Lake Erie, where he struck out 10 batters and allowed just one hit and zero earned runs to secure the victory. He also pitched 5.2 scoreless innings, giving up only one hit and striking out five, in a win against Cedarville.
