Findlay, Ohio– The University of Findlay Athletics Department and Brianna Sims have announced the hiring of Camryn Pickerill as the assistant coach for the women's basketball program.
"We are beyond excited to welcome Camryn to our staff," said head coach Bri Sims. "Her passion for the game, knowledge, energy, and commitment to our program will make an immediate impact. She does an incredible job building genuine relationships with our players and helping them reach their full potential."
Pickerill comes to Findlay after serving as an assistant coach under Sims at Ohio Dominican University. There, she played a key role in recruiting, identifying and evaluating prospective student-athletes while helping build the program. She also scouted opponents, developed game plans through film analysis, and assisted with practice planning and player development. During practices and games, Pickerill provided instruction, feedback, and in-game adjustments to help maximize team performance.
A native of Seaman, Ohio, Pickerill was a five-year member of the Ohio Dominican women's basketball program from 2020-25. She appeared in 115 games for the Panthers, averaging 18.4 minutes per contest. Off the court, she was active in the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) SAAC President during the 2024-25 academic year. Pickerill earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Ohio Dominican in 2024 before completing her master's degree in sport management in 2025.
