Springboro, Ohio - University of Findlay alumni Gabby Woods ('24) put together another dominating performance at the Ohio Women's Open on Friday and Saturday, June 5-6, winning the event by scoring rounds of 69 (-2) and 67 (-4) to win by three shots. Her mark of 136 (-6) matches her score from last year when she also won the event, making her a back-to-back champion. The tournament was played at Heatherwoode Golf Club in Springboro, Ohio, the same course as a year ago.
A two-time winner of the Women's Ohio State Amateur, Woods made just two bogeys in 36 holes of play, the fewest in the field. On Saturday, Woods had a clean card, making four birdies en route to a final-round 67.
Woods, who capped a historic career at UF with an individual win at the NCAA DII National Championship, is currently pursuing a career in professional golf and plays on the
Annika Women's All Pro Tour.
