Lansing, Mich. - The University of Findlay women's golf team concluded play at the Mary Fossum Invitational on Monday, September 21, placing 6th out of 15 teams. In the field full of Division I programs, the Oilers recorded a team score of 297 (+9) in round two, which would be the lowest score recorded by any team in the 36 hole event. Joining Findlay as the only other non-Division I program in the event was Grand Valley State University, who finished in a tie for 13th with a team score of 72-over.
Leading the way for Findlay on day two would be
Emma Myers and
Ashleigh Duflo, who both carded a 1-over round of 73.
Lillian O'Grady and
Ellie Yeazell followed closely behind, with O'Grady recording a 75 (+3) and Yeazell finishing with a 76 (+4).
Gracie James rounded out the lineup, coming in with a 8-over score of 80.
Myers, O'Grady, and Yeazell would all finish the tournament at 9-over, placing them in a tie for 13th.
Concluding play at 11-over,
Ashleigh Duflo found herself in a tie for 21st.
The Oilers will return to action from September 26-27 to take part in the Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite, hosted by Grand Valley State University.
