Allendale, MI – The University of Findlay women's golf team opened play in the 18
th Annual Gilda's Club Laker Fall Invite on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at The Meadows at GVSU in Allendale, MI. The tournament features many prestigious Division II programs from the Midwest, including many G-MAC and GLIAC programs. After day one, the Oilers sit at the top of the leaderboard after shooting a team score of 299 (+11) on the par-72 course to sit in first of sixteen teams.
The number two nationally ranked Oilers were led by two 73's (+1) on the day from senior
Ashleigh Duflo and sophomore
Emma Myers, who sit tied for first place individually.
Freshman
Lillian O'Grady finished close behind, shooting a 74 (+2) and a spot tied for 4
th overall after day one.
Rounding out the scores for the day was junior
Gracie James, who carded a 79 (+7).
The Oilers lead the second-place McKendree Bearcats by seven strokes after the Bearcats earned an opening-round score of 306 (+18). Rounding out the top three are the Wayne State Warriors, who carded a 308 (+20).
