Grand Haven, Mich. – The University of Findlay women's golf team continued play at American Dunes Golf Club on Tuesday, September 8, completing the second round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate. The Oilers improved by 25 strokes from Monday's opening round, carding a team score of 296 (+8) on Tuesday after shooting 321 (+33) in round one.
Ellie Yeazell led the way for Findlay in the second round, firing an even-par 72. Yeazell carded a 34 on the front nine before finishing with a 38 on the back nine. She currently sits in a tie for 38th place at +8 for the tournament.
Gracie James and Emma Myers each posted rounds of 74 (+2). James moved into a tie for 46th place at +11, while Myers sits in 48th at +12 overall.
Ashleigh Duflo followed with a 76 (+4) and is tied for 42nd place at +10 through 36 holes.
Mia Ringger carded an 80 (+8) and currently sits in 58th place at +25.
The Oilers' four scoring rounds totaled 296 strokes, a 25-stroke improvement from Monday's opening round of 321. Findlay now sits at +41 (617) through two rounds.
The Oilers will conclude play with round three tomorrow, with coverage once more available all day long on the Golf Channel.
