Brant Mullins was promoted to assistant coach of the baseball program on June 10, 2024.
Mullins spent the 2024 season as a volunteer assistant coach for the Oilers, serving as the primary pitching coach. He designed throwing programs, prepared pitching staff practices, made in-game pitching decisions, and contributed to various recruiting efforts.
Under Mullins' guidance, Logan Bragg and Sebastian Jones were named all-conference by the Great Midwest. Bragg served as the Oilers' go-to pitcher, while Jones led the relief effort. Additionally, Jones was named to the second team all-region by the National College Baseball Writers Association.
Mullins had a successful playing career at Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. A three-year pitcher for the Cougars, Mullins appeared in 55 games, throwing 132 innings. He recorded 110 career strikeouts.
A native of Flat Rock, Michigan, Mullins earned his undergraduate degree in sports management from SAU in May of 2023.
