Colton Bond joined the Oilers coaching staff in 2023 and will work with the outfielders and hitters.

Bond attended Ashland University, graduating with a bachelors degree in sport’s management. A four-year member of the baseball program and part of three regional qualifying teams and a regional runner-up finish. After graduation, he was a student assistant for the team that earned a trip to the DII World Series. In 2020 became the Graduate Assistant at Union (KY) College a NAIA school in Barbourville, KY finishing the shortened season with a 15-8 record. Bond graduated with his master’s in business administration. During those years, Bond worked for the summer organization Triple Crown Royals based out of Columbus, OH, going from an assistant coach to vice president from 2019 through 2022. While there, he helped hundreds of high school players find a home at the collegiate level. After that stint, Bond took a job in Enid, Oklahoma at NOC-Enid a perennial power in Junior College baseball. He coached a team to a regional final appearance in 2022 and a third place finish in the regional tournament in 2023.  Bond got the opportunity to coach in the Northwoods League for the La Crosse Loggers following the success in Enid. With the Loggers, Bond worked as the team’s first base coach as well as working with position players and defensive alignments. The Loggers lost in the semi finals of the Northwoods League Championship, finished with a record of 42-29, and set numerous amounts of team records. Bond resides in Findlay, OH with his fiancée Taylor and their dog Nugget.
