Began at Findlay: April 20, 2026
Bri Sims enters her first season at the University of Findlay with seven years of collegiate head coaching experience, most recently serving as the head women's basketball coach at Ohio Dominican University for two seasons. She is the sixth head coach in the NCAA era of the Findlay women's basketball program.
A native of Shelby, Ohio, Sims took over the Ohio Dominican program in 2024 and quickly helped turn its fortunes around. After three consecutive seasons with single-digit wins, she guided the Panthers to 12 victories in her first season before leading the team to a .500 record in 2025-26, its best winning percentage in six years.
Prior to her time at Ohio Dominican, Sims served as the head women's basketball coach at the University of Dallas, an NCAA Division III institution competing in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC). Taking over a program that won just two games during the 2018-19 season, Sims helped Dallas reach double-digit wins in consecutive seasons and achieve the fifth-best winning percentage in program history. Her efforts earned her SCAC Coach of the Year honors in 2021.
Sims began her coaching career as a graduate assistant at Bluffton University, where she helped the Beavers capture the first Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference (HCAC) Championship in program history and earn a berth in the NCAA Tournament.
Before entering the coaching profession, Sims played four seasons of NCAA Division I basketball at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She graduated from UMass Lowell in 2013 with a Bachelor of Liberal Arts degree with concentrations in psychology and sociology.
