The 2022 season ended for the Oilers in Great Midwest Athletic Conference Quarterfinals. They finished the season with a 18-14 record and a 14-4 mark in the conference. Tong coached five players to all-conference honors, including the 2022 G-MAC Player of the Year, Journey Blevins. She led both Blevins and Alana Pohlman to Midwest All-Region honors. Blevins was later named all-American by the AVCA.

Tong helped lead the Oilers to a 16-9 overall record in 2021. Tong, who coached at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y. after graduating from Findlay in 2017, is one of the most decorated Oilers in program history. A first team All-American in 2016, Tong was also named honorable mention All-American in 2014 and 2015. She was also named first team all-GLIAC three times and ranks sixth all-time at Findlay with 1,563 kills.
