Box Score The University of Findlay men's basketball team, ranked first in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) poll, rolled to a 91-52 victory over Northwood University on Thursday, February 12 in Croy Gymnasium. The win gives the Oilers a 21-0 record on the year with a 17-0 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
As a team, Findlay shot a blistering 56.1 percent (32-of-57) from the field and connected on 8-of-13 (61.5%) of their three point attempts. They also out-rebounded the Timberwolves 38-31 and racked up 20 assists in the win.
The Oilers held Northwood to a mere 35.8 percent (19-of-53) shooting clip and forced the Timberwolves into 18 turnovers.
Senior forward Morgan Lewis led the way with 21 points on 8-of-9 shooting.
Lewis also stuffed the stat sheet, racking up five assists, four rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
Senior forward Josh Bostic added 15 points and seven boards while sophomore guard Nathan Hyde chipped in ten points on 3-of-6 shooting.
Senior center Lee Roberts and senior guard Aaron Laflin added eight points apiece while sophomore forward Michael Agunga had a season-high seven points and five rebounds.
Junior guard Marcus Parker added seven points, three assists and three steals while sophomore forward Tyler Sparks recorded six points and tied a career-high with ten rebounds, four assists and three steals.
Northwood was led by Chris Johnson's 12 points.
Findlay will be back in action again on Saturday, February 14 when they host Wayne State University at 3:00 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
