Findlay, Ohio- The University of Findlay men's basketball program and head coach
Charlie Ernst have announced the addition of seven student-athletes to the 2026 signing class. The class features a strong blend of scoring, athleticism, size, and championship experience from across Ohio.
"This recruiting class will make up a large part of our program," said Ernst. "It was imperative that we hit a homerun on the recruiting trail. We not only needed more talent, but we also added some size, toughness, athleticism and a winner's mentality. We are really excited to get started with this team in the fall!"
Beckett Bertke
6-6 | 205 lbs. | Lima Shawnee HS
A four-year starter at Lima Shawnee, Bertke averaged 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists per game as a senior. He earned First Team All-Ohio honors and was named both the Western Buckeye League Player of the Year and Northwest Ohio Player of the Year.
"Beckett was a priority recruit for us that we identified a few years ago," Ernst said. "He brings a scoring and rebounding mentality to our program. We are excited to use his versatility for us."
Rognny Santiago-Lugo
6-1 | 175 lbs. | Cincinnati Princeton HS
Santiago-Lugo averaged 14 points, two rebounds, two steals, and two assists per game during his senior season while helping lead Princeton to the OHSAA Division I State Championship. He earned First Team All-GMC and All-Southwest Ohio recognition and was regarded as one of the top three-point shooters in Ohio this past season.
"Rognny is a native of Puerto Rico and came to our team camp last summer with Princeton HS," Ernst said. "He is one of the best shooters that we have recruited, but he brings a Princeton pedigree of aggressive defense to our program as well."
Jordan Priddy
6-2 | 180 lbs. | Lima Central Catholic HS
Priddy averaged 27 points, five assists, and five rebounds per game as a senior. He was named the Northwest Conference Player of the Year, Northwest Ohio Player of the Year, and earned First Team All-Ohio honors.
"Jordan has been on our radar since his breakout sophomore year at LCC," Ernst said. "He has been one of the top scorers in Northwest Ohio over the past two years. Another example of our desire to keep the best in Northwest Ohio close to home!"
Calvin Willow
6-10 | 215 lbs. | Arlington HS
Willow averaged 19 points, eight rebounds, 3.5 assists, and three blocks per game as a senior. He helped lead Arlington to the state semifinals as a junior and earned Blanchard Valley Conference Player of the Year honors along with First Team District 8 and Northwest Ohio recognition. He was also named Third Team All-Ohio.
"We are very excited to add a player of Calvin's size and athleticism to our roster," Ernst said. "His development has been really fun to watch and we all believe that his best basketball is ahead of him. He is humble and hard working, which will serve him very well."
Brycen Johnson
6-0 | 155 lbs. | Mason HS
Johnson averaged 16 points and three assists per game as a senior while earning First Team All-GMAC honors.
"Brycen brings additional quickness and ball handling to our program," Ernst said. "His aggressive defensive mindset will fit our system well."
Owen Winklefoos
6-6 | 180 lbs. | Highland HS
Winklefoos averaged 11 points and seven rebounds per game during his senior season. He earned Second Team All-MOAC and Second Team All-District recognition.
Matt Meek
6-7 | 220 lbs. | Springboro HS
Meek averaged nine points and six rebounds per game as a senior. He earned First Team District 15 honors and was named Special Mention All-GWOC.
