Box Score The second session of the 2009 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament was completed on Saturday, March 14 in Findlay, Ohio. The University of Findlay, the top seed in the tournament, defeated eighth seeded Grand Valley State University 66-51 in the first game which was followed by a 78-72 victory for fourth seeded University of Southern Indiana over fifth seeded Rockhurst University.
In the first game of the second session, the Oilers defeated the Lakers for the fourth time this season to improve to 31-0 on the year.
Senior forward Josh Bostic led the way with 20 points as Findlay set a new school record for most wins in a season.
Senior forward Morgan Lewis and sophomore guard Nathan Hyde added 14 and 13 points respectively in the game.
The Lakers were led by Nick West's 11 points.
Alvin Storrs added ten in the loss.
In the second game, the Screaming Eagles had four players reach double figures as Jamar Smith led the way with 21 points.
Jeron Lewis added 13 points and 12 rebounds, Anthony Pimble was good for ten points and 12 boards while Brandon Carr added ten points and seven rebounds.
Rockhurst was led by Joshua Kwajah's 16 points off the bench.
Findlay will play Southern Indiana tomorrow in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. before Bellarmine takes on Lake Superior State at 5:00 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
