Box Score The University of Findlay men's basketball team ran out to a 52-17 lead at the break and cruised a 91-62 victory over Tiffin University on Thursday, January 21 in Croy Gymnasium. The win gives the Oilers a 13-3 record on the season with a 9-2 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC).
As a team, the Oilers shot 52.3 percent (34-of-65) from the floor and drilled a season-high 12-of-21 (57.1%) of their three point attempts. They also forced 22 turnovers, which led to 39 points for Findlay.
Senior guard Marcus Parker tied his career-high with 22 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Parker also hit a career-high tying 5-of-8 shots from three point range to go along with a season-high seven assists, five steals and four rebounds.
Junior guard Nathan Hyde added 17 points while junior forward Tyler Sparks and freshman forward Jack Smith contributed 11 points apiece.
The Dragons were led by DeAngelo Jordan's 16 points.
The Oilers will be back in action again on Saturday when they host Ashland University at 3:00 p.m. in Croy Gymnasium.
