The University of Findlay defeated Northern Michigan University 1-0 on Friday, Oct. 7 in Findlay, Ohio.

The only goal of the match came in the 27th minute when Sandy Findley scored off a deflection inside the goal box.

Sophomore goal keeper Kelsea Corns tallied her first win of the season in as many starts, saving all four shots headed her way.

The win gives the Oilers a 5-5-1 overall record with a 4-3-1 mark in GLIAC play.

Findlay's next match will be on Sunday, Oct. 9 when host Michigan Tech in Findlay, Ohio.
